Now What?

I have been a child of hope.

I have been a resister of fates

who believes in turning tables.

I have been an accepter of realities

who no longer expects

that things will change,

in my lifetime, or anyone else's.

Now What?

I have been a giver of love.

I have been an eater of sins.

I have been an outcast

and a fugitive by default.

Now What?

I have faced the void.

I have danced in the chasm.

I have crawled, dripping, from

the belly of the beast.

Now What?
